Responding to the Change Healthcare Cybersecurity Incident
Mass General Brigham Health Plan was informed that Change Healthcare is currently experiencing a cybersecurity incident. Change Healthcare works with Mass General Brigham Health Plan and many other health plans and organizations across the country to support business processes for providers.
We have learned that Change Healthcare has suspended access to its systems and data transmissions to prevent further impact from this incident. Mass General Brigham Health Plan is closely monitoring the response by Change Healthcare to continue to assess any impact to our business processes.
It is important to note that members can still access medical and behavioral healthcare services, and there is no disruption of care due to the Change Healthcare incident. Members are encouraged to keep existing healthcare appointments.
