May 30, 2024 (SOMERVILLE, MA) – Mass General Brigham Health Plan is proud to sponsor the Best Buddies Challenge on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts. The annual event, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, raises funds to support Best Buddies International, a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, competitive integrated employment, leadership development, inclusive living, and family support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Mass General Brigham Health Plan’s sponsorship of the Best Buddies Challenge is part of a comprehensive Community Benefits program that supports local organizations to meet the needs of communities in a variety of ways to promote health and well-being. Areas of focus include addressing chronic disease, mental health, substance use, and housing stability and other social determinants of health.
